Tuition & Funding

Tuition

Tuition fees are posted annually on the Student Accounts website. Fees are listed by program and year of entry.

MA Funding

Unfortunately, options for funding at the master’s level are rare and do not come with any guarantee in the terms of admission.

  • Teaching Assistantships: These depend on the fluctuating enrollment figures for undergraduate courses.
  • External Awards: For information about Canada Graduate Scholarships (Social Science and Humanities Research Council) or Ontario Graduate Scholarships, see the SSHRC and SGS-OGS websites.
  • Work-Study positions: See the U of T careers website.
  • Ontario students may qualify for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).

MA Tuition Fee Bursaries

These bursaries are available to full-time master’s students who must go beyond their initial registration period in order to complete a small amount of remaining work. Applications are available on the SGS website.
