The Department for the Study of Religion, University of Toronto invites applications from graduate students interested in teaching the following courses during the 2016 -2017 Session. Applicants should submit (1) a current curriculum vitae, (2) an outline of the course, method of evaluation, and required textbook(s), and (3) evidence of teaching ability (e.g., summarized course evaluations, letters of reference, etc.).

Duties: Include presenting two hours of lectures a week; conducting tutorials; grading papers and exams (including make-up examinations if required); and other pedagogical and administrative tasks associated with an undergraduate course.
Stipend: From September 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016 a full course is $14,515.67 and a half course is $7, 257.84 (including vacation pay). From January1, 2017- April 30, 2017 a full course is 14,624.00 and half course is $7,312
Qualifications: M.A. in Religion; Ph.D. candidacy, significant graduate work and ongoing research in the specific field of the course to which application is being made.
