Biography
Ankita Choudhary completed her Bachelor of Arts in History from Delhi University and Master of Arts in Medieval History from Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi). She has also completed a second Master of Arts in Early Modern South Asian History from McGill University (Montreal). Her research explores Cities, Religious Festivals and the Urban Public in Colonial and Post-Colonial North India. She investigates how cities and urban spaces are shaped by religious festivals and community practices by taking the case of Muharram in Lucknow.
