This past July faculty members Dr. Pamela Klassen and Dr. Simon Coleman took graduate students Rebecca Bartel, Matt King, Michelle Christian, Maria Dasios, and Meaghan Weatherdon to Tübingen, Germany to participate in the “Scales of Value: Intersections of Religion, Economy, and Law” workshop which was sponsored by the University of Toronto Germany/Europe Fund, the Jackman Humanities Institute, and the Institut für Ethnologie Schloss Hohentübingen. A delighted Dr. Coleman speaks highly of the DSR students’ presentations, praising the quality and professionalism of their contributions.

The students also had the exciting opportunity to meet with 25 top PhD students from around the world at the “Religion as Resource” Summer School hosted by the University of Tübingen. The trip was an excellent opportunity for students from the University of Toronto to engage in interdisciplinary discussions with international colleagues.
