The Department for the Study of Religion, University of Toronto invites applications from graduate students interested in teaching the following courses during the 2017 -2018 Session. Applicants should submit (1) a current curriculum vitae, (2) an outline of the course, method of evaluation, and required textbook(s), and (3) evidence of teaching ability (e.g., summarized course evaluations, letters of reference, etc.).

Duties: Include presenting two hours of lectures a week; conducting tutorials; grading papers and exams (including make-up examinations if required); and other pedagogical and administrative tasks associated with an undergraduate course.

Stipend: To date a full course is 14,770.24 and a half course is $7,385.12. This includes vacation pay

Qualifications: M.A. in Religion; Ph.D. candidacy, significant graduate work and ongoing research in the specific field of the course to which application is being made.
