The Department for the Study of Religion, University of Toronto invites applications from graduate students interested in teaching the following courses during the 2015 -2016 Session. Applicants should submit (1) a current curriculum vitae, (2) an outline of the course, method of evaluation, and required textbook(s), and (3) evidence of teaching ability (e.g., summarized course evaluations, letters of reference, etc.).
Applications should be addressed to Professor Frances Garrett. Please send your application as a single PDF file to email@example.com. Only course evaluations will be accepted in a separate PDF file. The subject line of the email should read Unit 1 2015 2016 Application.
Duties: Include presenting two hours of lectures a week; conducting tutorials; grading papers and exams (including make-up examinations if required); and other pedagogical and administrative tasks associated with an undergraduate course.
Stipend: $14.229.30 for a full course $7,114.65 for a half course (including vacation pay).
Qualifications: M.A. in Religion; Ph.D. candidacy, significant graduate work and ongoing research in the specific field of the course to which application is being made.
