Briggida Bell, PhD candidate in the Department for the Study of Religion, has been awarded a 2018-19 Jackman Humanities Fellowship. The theme for the 2018-19 awards is Reading Faces — Reading MInds.

Ms Bell’s dissertation¬†“Moved by the Spirit(s): Credibility and Normative Models of Spirit Practices in the First and Second Centuries of the Mediterranean”¬†¬†focuses on prophecy and other spirit practices in the ancient Mediterranean region approached primarily through embodiment and affect theories.
